Introducing The Deputy Lunchbox Head, a 25 Watt amplifier born from collaboration with Peter Honore. Simple, versatile, and robust, this all-valve amp embodies 'plug and play' convenience. Boasting a single channel, master volume design, along with a Bright switch, a three-position voice switch, and onboard reverb, it's a versatile companion.
We’ve taken all the features of the original Deputy and reimagined them in our renowned Victory Lunchbox format. Built in our UK factory with exceptional craftsmanship and premium components, the Deputy Lunchbox retains the full functionality of the Deputy Compact Head while offering a refined, contemporary appeal.
Housed in our signature rugged steel chassis, this single-channel amplifier is remarkably versatile. It's front panel features a Bright switch, a three-way Voice switch, full EQ controls, Gain, Master Volume, and an FX loop, allowing for precise tonal shaping. The built-in shimmering Reverb enhances everything from subtle ambience to fully immersive soundscapes.
Powered by 2 x EL86 valves, the Deputy Lunchbox delivers 25 watts of rich, dynamic Victory valve tone—compact, powerful, and built for the modern player.
Features
Single Channel Design
The Deputy’s single channel effortlessly spans from 60’s British Clean to 70’s Classic Rock with a single gain control. This amp is straightforward and perfect for seamlessly transitioning your guitar’s volume from clean to crunch to lead gain. With 25 Watts of power, you’ll enjoy ample clean headroom.
Three Position Voice Switch
The Deputy features a three-position Voice switch designed to provide maximum versatility by adding a bit of extra gain.
- Position 1 (top), you get the lowest gain setting.
- Position 2 (middle), you enjoy a maximum of +6dB gain, influenced by the gain settings on the amp.
- Position 3 adds upper mid frequencies and a treble boost to Voice 2.
Bright Switch
The bright control is a simple switch to add some top end, allowing you to shape the sound of whatever you use before the amp exactly the way you want it.
Series Effects Loop
A series effects loop is available for effects fans. It’s completely out of the circuit when bypassed.
Simple Powerful EQ
Plenty of tone-sculpting potential, plus a presence control that works in the power section to set the overall bite just how you like it.
External Bias Points
No need to fiddle about inside when you change output valves. The Deputy will be fitted with EL86s as standard but can be biased to use EL84’s too.
Digital Reverb
The Deputy features a foot switchable on board reverb, it sits somewhere between a plate and hall-type sound. It’s ‘smoother’ and more ‘modern’ sounding than a traditional spring reverb.
